Plus, they offer free skating lessons on Saturdays.

MassMutual Ice Rink is one of the longest-running rinks in the country. This sprawling downtown rink is worth a visit to the great city of Pittsburgh alone. 

Set under the castle inspired spires of the PPG building, you will feel like you have stepped into an urban ice palace. 

If you want to feel the magic truly, might we suggest that you plan a trip to this rink during the Christmas season? If you do, you will have the opportunity to skate around a fully decked out and illuminated Christmas tree. 

You will also get a chance to meet Santa, and your kids will even get to skate around with him during their weekly ‘Skate with Santa’ event throughout the month of December.
